Bernadette Meegan
Bernadette was born in Salmon Arm, B.C. and grew up in Moose Jaw, SK. After earning her Accountancy Diploma in 2005, she entered into the public accounting sector and has gained a wealth of knowledge during her 20 years as a public accountant. She is grateful to her incredible mentors along the way, who not only helped cultivate her successful career, but embedded in her the importance of "The Three I's" - Intelligence, Integrity, and Initiative.
Bernadette specializes in personal and corporate tax returns, as well as the year-ends and financial statements that go with them. Her extensive experience with farms and farm programs (AgriInvest/AgriStability) make her an asset to farmers in BC, where it is hard to find an accountant with the experience and knowledge needed to advise clients of the benefits of these programs and accurately report the information.
Bernadette prides herself on providing exemplary service to her clients in order to instill peace of mind and promote a stress-free experience. She knows that every taxpayer is different and wants to provide the most effective and efficient assistance to her clients' individual needs. Naomi
Naomi was born in Olds, AB. and grew up in Cochrane, AB. After earning her Accountancy Diploma in 2003, she entered into the workforce, joining the public accounting sector in 2007. She worked throughout, achieving her Accounting Degree in 2011.
Naomi recognizes that providing exemplary service to her bookkeeping clients helps instill peace of mind and promotes a stress-free experience. She knows that keeping your bookkeeping accurate and up to date is not only essential for making informed business decisions, but also necessary in order to ensure your GST, Payroll, and Tax Returns are filed accurately and on time.
Naomi is an experienced bookkeeper and has her QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Advanced Certification. Her education and extensive career in bookkeeping makes her an asset to BCMAT's clients and an absolute godsend for Bernadette.
Megan
Megan was born in Northwestern Ontario and has lived in several provinces throughout her life, including Alberta, B.C., and Ontario. She has completed extensive university studies in the Liberal Arts and earned her Business Management Diploma from Thompson Rivers University. After recently returning to Kimberley, B.C., she is excited to once again be part of the community she has always enjoyed calling home.
After being encouraged by Bernadette to pursue bookkeeping, Megan began working in public accounting in 2018 and bookkeeping in 2019. She has since gained experience in both public practice and private industry, working with businesses across a variety of industries. She enjoys bookkeeping clean-ups, streamlining processes, and helping businesses make the most of modern cloud-based accounting technology. Her experience with QuickBooks Online and a wide variety of cloud-based accounting applications allows her to help clients find efficient solutions that fit their business. She has also completed extensive accounting and professional development training and believes that continual learning is essential to providing the best possible service to her clients.
Megan enjoys getting to know each of her clients and understanding what is most important to them.
